Today we saw the beast!!!

Today right after the meeting I was about to fall asleep. Well that was the case until I saw that littun. I think his name was Percival. Simon and Ralph were bringing him to his tent. He was afraid again like all the other littluns. They always cry out in fear in the middle of the night. This night was no exception and I have to always scream out of the tent telling them to shut up. If I don't, then no one would. Either way that Percival kid is not really important. What really is important is the fact that today it was as if I saw something or someone falling from the sky. I know it sounds pretty far fetched, but I think I actually saw something fall down from the sky. Either way, it could also be the fact that i was sleepy and imagining things.

What really got my blood flowing tonight were the twins. They came running down from the fire to Ralph. They said that they saw the beast. The beast? That cannot be true at all. After all, Jack had already stated that he searched throughout the jungle and has never seen such a beast. They probably are lying. Either way, Ralph held a meeting and the whole group went on an expedition to see if the beast was real. It was really bothersome, yet we did find something really cool. We found a cave while exploring and Jack said that it would make a cool fort. I have to agree with that as well since it's just right at the cliff of the island. And has a cool view. I'm sure Ralph would agree as well with the whole fort idea, yet again he had to make us go and light the fire. He really is getting annoying when it comes to the fire. After all, there is no way that a ship would come this late at night. He really needs to stop with that whole fire thing. Really.

The new rules

Today Ralph seemed as if he changed. He seemed much more smarter than usual. Heck I say that he sounds just like that fatty Piggy. He does have some good ideas that would seem to work, but there is one that I oppose. That is the fire and were we are allowed to cook with it. First of all, us hunters need the fire. Does he not know that we go and kill the pigs for food. Therefore that means that we cook the meat and that we might need to cook the meat at any given moment. Ralph really needs to think that straight. Now I know that Ralph is concerned on how the forest might get caught in fire, but he has to know that us hunters go all through the island. If we have the fire with us while walking through the island it would give us some light as some parts of the island have no light in it. It can also help identity were each person is. After all, who cannot see were a fire is lit within an island. It is impossible to not see a fire within an island. Now there is also the daunting task of having to go up to the mountain if we wanted to cook or even be warmer. After all, Ralph said fire would not be permitted anywhere else except at the top of the mountain.

As for the beast that was addressed in the assembly. It does seem as if it does exist. After all the littluns said that the beast came from the water and my father said that we did not find all the animals that live int eh ocean. Therefore, that must mean that there is a possibility that the beast might actually exist. Either way, even if the beast did exist, us the hunters would be sure to kill no matter the cost as Jack has stated. All in all, it just might be the littluns imagination and being afraid that must be making them imagine such things as said by Jack and even Ralph. Even so, at the end the meeting ended with some new rules that at the end everyone would just disobey as everyone has already done in the past.

The meat

Today was a special day for all of us. Especially for Jack and the hunters. They finally captured and killed a pig! We finally have meat for the first time in forever. That shows Ralph that in reality we are capable in hunting even though I was not there because today was my day off. If only I went with Jack to hunt instead of fooling around and practicing my dive. I would have been part of the group that killed a pig. I would have been part of the glory and reaching the first milestone for the group. Now that we have meat, we can feast and definitely more people would go with us next time. Like Jack said, when everyone goes, they will surround it and kill it. I myself would have gladly gone, yet I could not go since Jack told me to stay back.
Now then there is Ralph. Like I said before, he is always nagging at us. He is BLAMING US for not having the fire going when a ship passed by. He cannot possibly blame us for the fire. If he was really a chief, he would go with us and stay up in the mountain with us. He is just blaming us on a job that he assigned us and either way he already knew that we don not light the fire around the time the ship came. At that time, we all go out hunting as Jack did. If Ralph wanted to keep the fire going, he should have gone up to the mountain and light it up himself. Jack went out with the group to collect food for everyone else, while Ralph was down in the beach relaxing. I know I was, but I already did my job of keeping the fire lit in the morning. Ralph should have done it instead of blaming it on us.

Ralph nags too much

Today like any other day, the whole choir group went to hunt pigs. We all go since the whole group wants meat. We all want meat. It is the only thing that I remember back at home. I want that nostalgic taste of meat. Even so, Ralph is saying that we produce non results in hunting down the pigs. All I have to say to Ralph is that he is wrong and does not know how hard it is to hunt. There are always creepers in the way and when we do you one, the pigs notice us before we have a chance to pounce on it. Even when we do spot a pig, it is very rare. We barley find tracks from the pigs and we have not found the nesting grounds of the pigs. Either Ralph does not know what it means to kill a living thing. Something that lives and has a purpose in life. When you kill, you see blood and death. No one wants to experience that, so until Ralph can find, kill, and deal with it he should shut up and stop nagging us about the pigs.
Either way all he does is building shelters for everyone else. Who needs shelter anyway? I sure don't and I'm sure that no one else needs one. We have been doing fine without shelters and building shelters now would just hinder our progress in hunting pigs. Ralph says that we need shelter in case if it rains. If it rains, we just go underneath the leaves of the trees. It is not hard. What we need is food right now and surviving. Ralph is just wasting his time with building shelters. He should be gathering everyone and have them hunt with us. After all he is the chief. All he is doing is nagging and building useless things that no one needs.

The Fire

Today we had another meeting with Ralph leading. He said that in order to have other people find us, we should start a fire on top of the mountain. Everyone including myself decided that it was a great idea. After all, who won’t be able to see smoke on top of a mountain. Jack and the rest of us went up the mountain and found a big log to start a fire on top of the mountain. I have to say that it was one of the most difficult things that I have done, yet one of the most satisfying things that I have done with everyone. Everyone except for that fat boy Piggy. He had to come up the mountain and tell everyone what to do instead of helping us make a fire. If it was not for Jack and his quick thinking of using Piggy’s glasses to start a fire, we would have never started the fire.
Even so, the fire had to be put out because of Piggy. He always has to ruin the accomplishments of the group. Never able to work in a group. Instead Piggy had to remind us of the little one’s. It was his job of keeping track of them. It cannot be hard to keep lookout of the little ones. It’s not like he is in charge of the manual labor and hunting for the whole group. We cannot be possibly blamed for the little one’s when it not our job to look over them. Piggy is just giving us extra work for no reason whatsoever.
